Create New Product

First, search or browse to check if a similar product already exists. This will help you decide whether to create a new base product or just a variant.

Option 1: Search for Existing Products

Search by product name or ID to see if a similar product already exists

Option 2: Browse Product Hierarchy

Navigate through the product hierarchy to find where your product should be created

Business Division
Consumer Banking
Westpac Institutional Bank

💡 How it works:

  • Click "Expand All" above to see all hierarchy levels at once
  • • Navigate through 4 levels: Division → LOB → Product Group → Product Type
  • Blue "Create Base Product" button appears on Product Group rows (amber folder icon)
  • Green "Create Variant" button appears on Product Type rows (purple box icon) when base products exist
  • • Click the buttons to create a product with pre-populated hierarchy context

🔍 Troubleshooting:

  • Don't see blue "Create Base Product" buttons? Make sure you've expanded to Product Group level (amber folder icon)
  • Don't see green "Create Variant" buttons? They only appear on Product Types (purple box icon) that already have base products
  • Example: Business Division → Cash Management → Credit Cards (blue button here) → BusinessChoice (green button here if products exist)
